Zombies Attack!

Throw grandpa’s old war helmet on, grab that old cricket bat and head for the hills zombies are coming! …Or have these “zombies” stumbled across one of the most potentially awesome marketing campaigns ever?

Flash mobs, a recent internet sensation, have just begun to make their power known. People have seen the YouTube videos, they enjoy the clever interruption from their daily life, and want to experience the “crazy” moment. Not surprisingly, soon after these videos arrived on the pop culture radar, people started to begin to organise their senseless hour of chaos.   It doesn’t take long to find one of these Zombie events on Facebook.

But what can all of this talk about flash mobs do for your brand? It is clear that people enjoy the fun the mob brings, and companies like T-Mobile, seem to get it as well.

By organising flash mobs like these, not only will you get your brand noticed, but you may be able to create, or strengthen a very loyal fan base.

One this is for sure,  using this tactic has apparently paid off for T-Mobile.
